I hope no one was looking forward to playing the third in Rocksteady’s trilogy of Batman games (Arkham Origins doesn’t count) this autumn because, surprising no one, it has been delayed until the 2nd of June 2015 worldwide. It comes out for Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC which makes it the first Batman game on the current generation of consoles.
When it comes out, Warner have stated that there will be two special editions coming out:
- The Limited Edition. It comes with an 80 page art book, a Steelbook case, a special Batman Arkham Knight comic book, three exclusive skins for Batman – one assumes – that are from the new 52 line of DC comics and finally a Batman memorial statue. It will cost you $99/£89.99/€199.99.
- The Batmobile Edition. This is exactly the same as The Limited Edition but with one difference…instead of a Batman memorial statue; there is a fully transformable Batmobile. The price for that version is $199/£169.99/€199.99. I feel bad for Europe!
Personally, I have infinite patience when it comes to Batman Arkham Knight. Arkham Origins showed us what happens when one rushes a Batman game (hint: it turns out to be crap) so Rocksteady can take as long as they want. All I want is a game that can match the other two, if it exceeds it then so much the better.
